Hey folks the club is open, come on in!
On tonight's agenda we have the Minstrels back again in the gallery with the usual selection of madrigals and fugues, local favourites, the Tone Deafs are playing in the ballroom, tonight they are giving us a selection of covers from the 1970's (break out the loon pants and tanks tops everybody!) Also for members entertainment, the hot tub is bubbling away on the north tower, the bungee is awaiting it's first vic... volunteer.... the racing track is ready for use as are the rowing boats down by the lake. Tonight's tailcock will be the "Hooray Henry" an interesting brew with more than a hint of ginger! Our hot plate special is meatballs in a red wine sauce with pasta, and on the pudding trolley we have tiramisu, as well as the usual selection of canopies and volley vonts. For our members further entertainment, I have to announce the opening of the Towers' gym! Situated in the cellars near the indoor swimming pool (cossies are available for those without one)
Please remember try not to upset Sir Cumference the Towers ghost (doesn't like too much noise) In view of the inclement weather here at the Towers the games room is all set up for our guests.
Anyone wishing to stay over please see Belle in the vestibule to arrange a suite.
For the rofl tonight I have:
1 cross stich kit, half done, chart lost
pack of blunt needles
2 odd socks
jar of assorted buttons

A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals

Madame, are you sure Chubb has remembered to open the gates? Very quiet in here tonight
Good evening your nungateship, as it happens I had a strong feeling it was to be a 70's night tonight so do you like my purple loons, penny round collared shirt, multi coloured hooped tank top and platform soled shoes ( oh we had great taste in clothes in the 70's ).
For the roffle I have bought two 5 litre containers of Ronseal dark oak fencelife ( both empty ) and one 4 inch paint brush ( only 15 bristles left in it ).
A bucket of ''Hooray Henry'' would go down very nicely thank you.
Your bucket Tony, Sir. I think I may need my sunglasses those pants are a bit bright! See how they reflect on me chains?

Good evening Tony, I trust you are well. My, you are looking..... dapper is the word I think I'm looking for ....
It's not me loons Igor, those chains of your are so highly polished.
Yes dapper is the word nungate, I used to pull the birds in this outfit in 1971 lol.
mmmhmmm if you day so Sir, if you say so
Question Author
He does get nice high polish on those chains though
Question Author
1971? I was still at school, I remember purple was the colour though!
Actually when I think of it I had a tank top too, multi-coloured it was (well that was one of them, I'm pretty sure I had others ......
Yes he does nungate, pity they rattle so much though.
1971 nungate, a landmark year for me as I left school.
Question Author
Can get a bit annoying at 4 in the morning, depending on what he's doing.
(doesn't sleep much does our Igor) I have asked him to muffle them if possible or remove them when he's moving around in the early hours of the morning (fell on deaf ears though)
nungate, I believe that there would be more chance of the pope getting married than there is of Igor removing his beloved chains.
Question Author
You've got a point there Tony. He just needs to "muffle" them a bit
I'm stood standing here, please do not discuss my chains within earshot please.
Evening all and thanks for making me feel ancient.
You lot were all at school?
I was married and had my first child!
Pass me a rather large bucket of Henry, if you would Igor, please. I need to drown my sorrows
Mmmmmm, just thinking, I wonder if a smear of Vaseline on the links would muffle the rattling. However they would need a polish afterwards though.
(Pats poor ole Igor to console him)
Bless him, he's to be commended for the work he puts in on those chains.
However, if you like, I'll yarn-bomb him to muffle them but you'll all be sorry to lose the shinyness
Evening Mammar, nice to see you.Have you brought any roffle prizes with you tonight ?.
Question Author
Evening Mammar, now don't get upset, age is just a number that's all. You're only as old as you feel. I always say, growing old is compulsory, growing up is optional, I lean toward the latter (my husband has been waiting 26 years for me to grow up - never going to happen!
