Good evening and welcome to the Annual Mad Over Fifties Club Christmas Ball
Nungate Towers is bedecked with Fairy Lights, the fires are lit in the hearths, tables are groaning with food and drinks! All that is missing is our members!
For our feast tonight Scoff the Chef has excelled himself! Roast Beef, Roast Turkey, Roast Pork and a haunch of Venison, will all the trimmings.
On the pudding trolley our patissier has also excelled himself! Opera Cake, Sherry Trifle, Ice Cream Sundaes, Christmas Pudding and Tiramisu (with a festive twist!) Of course there will be an even larger selection of volly vonts, canopies and horses doovers not to mention a plethora of other festive nibbles!
Our Tailcock for this evening is Merry Mistletoe, and just for tonight the Tapster has brewed a special Christmas Ball Ale, and has a delicious mulled wine punch
Playing in the ballroom is the Muckleflugga and District Concert Orchestra, famous throughout two counties! Also playing in the Great Hall is DJ 49 for those wishing to throw some shapes! Down in the Entry Hall, the Minstrels will be joined by our local Choir for some Christmas Carol singing around the Christmas tree.
Igor has polished his "special" chains they sparkle just like the fairy lights!
Sir Cumference has donned his white tie and tails and will be joining in the
fun in the ballroom.
As tonight is a special night there won't be a rofl, but everyone will be leaving with a party bag! Who knows, maybe even a visit from Santa himself!
So come along and join in the fun, a warm welcome awaits all who enter these portals tonight.

Queenie, when do you break up for Christmas ?.
Evening all, Igor you are really sparkling and Sir Cumference is putting in an appearance, nungate you have worked your magic and how lovely to see Tilly and Balders
goodly evening all, on such a foul and gusty night a bucket of mulled wine would be cockle warming
I should finish tomorrow at 4 but its now looking to be Monday at 5 :/ not really had a break this week tony :(

Lol not that flagging Daisy - the lacking in energy and motivation flagging

I've only been here five minutes and someone's Trifling with me already!!
Thanks Igor. I have brought you a small present from the seaside. Pebbles! Chocolate in a sugar candy shell. They look most realistic.
Nungate the dancing was lovely. Cried buckets. Daughter, granddaughter and grandson all dancing.

My apologies Igor, I was just making a little joke.
I'd love to, Balders, but.............
When heavy snow is shaken From the Nungate trees
And Igors bites them down
And brought into the dark Castle
When clustered sparks
Of many-coloured fires
Appear at night
In turret stained windows
We hear and sing
The customary Minstrels carols
Igor, Scoff and crew bring us ragged tailcock miracles
And Torrkey, Gooose and frozen candles
And flowering wads of Psybbo poetry and song
That are loved all the more
Because they are so common
But there are Tower carols
That carry Daisy's lesson phrases
With Tilly's haunting music
Of the other AB world
A music wild and Tony dangerous
As a Baldric's message
Or the fresh truth of ABers
Who though they come to us from beyond
Mammar, AYG and Queenie
Mrs O when in town
Are altogether one
With their yen for Scoff's sherry trifle
Two bottles of sherry, one jello pack
And Sir Cumference drunken voice
They all look at us
With their clear eyes
And ask the piercing pressie questions
What's in the Chrimbo Riffle?
Ed Santa alone can answer.
Monday at 5 then, Queenie, chin up it'll soon be here.
Humber, have always eaten my cockles straight from the shell. Have I been getting it wrong all these years?
Oh my things are getting a bit busy this evening, I shall have to call on Plant for assistance.
Madame Daisy you are most kind

Plant, I need you
and sloopy to read the above rubbish out!
Question Author
Good evening Sibs and Sloopy, and welcome. Have you tried the Tailcock tonight?

dt, am I supposed to be declaiming? only I didn't bring any cough linctus, though a drink might help

hint
Baldric, be thankful no one was blancmanging with you.
