Long Shot........
Could there be a blunder at the start of this ?
Because the L.M.A.M is the last four words of.....
many a "Little Makes a Mickle"
I thought it was there's many a mickle makes a muckle.
so did I grasscarp, looked it up and it mentions "mickle & muckle"
like I said........ it is a long shot
Hi,Sam, there's a proverb "many a mickle makes a muckle"
there is a variant in Scottish English
"many a little makes a mickle".
so you could have it Sam
I have wasted too long in last few days pondering this
Jo learns two more Scottish words :)
don't know how to do links....
but if you google "little makes a mickle" it takes you to the saying
http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/many-a-little-makes-a-mickle.html
To paste a link Sam just highlight, right click and copy the URL Then paste it for which I usually used Control V.
I see there's a saying "Many a little makes a mickle" so it looks like you're right if the setter has forgotten the first m
thanks grasscarp :)
