Oh this is so frustrating! Are we looking too deeply - are the answers there but more simple than we are making them ?

Question Author
No leecon youre not alone. I'm still searching like mad and getting absolutely nowhere
I am now at the stage, Maisie Doats, where I keep looking at the same pages again and again Surely someone can give us some sort of clues - I don't want the answer, just help in being pointed in the right direction
Question Author
Me too, Leecon. I have a feeling that were on the wrong track with Rip Thorn as the man in black but I can't find anything else.
11.59 on 29 Oct - granny grump must know because she had only one to do.
Help Granny Grump! Can you help us with Q44 or Q51, please? We don't want the answers, just point us in the right direction please?

Maisie - I also feel that Rip Torn is probably wrong but like you, I am unable to find anyone else... ...I have searched and searched, even down to the Cadbury man in black!!! but no go
51 Look at Original Man in Black - where you will find the 5and8, but not the 3and4
Question Author
Thanks Davemano. I appreciate your help but could you possibly make your clue just a teeny bit easier? I think I may have the 5/8 as I'd found that before but gave up on it as I couldn't associate it with a 3/4 and even after your clue - I still can't !!
I did say you will find the 5 and 8 but NOT the 3 and 4
Question Author
Sorry Davemano - I thought you were giving me a cryptic clue. Don't suppose you have any ideas on Q44 do you ?
I must be so daft - I'm completely lost - I look at Original Man in Black - I just get Johnny Cash !!
Scroll down below Johnny Cash, but it only gives the 5 and 8 but not the
3 and 4 as I pointed out to Maisie earlier
Question Author
I think we're on different wavelengths here. following on from Davemano I ended up (again) with the 'Lost' page and have got Titus Welliver (5,8) but not a 3,4 in sight.
Maisie Doats - why are we the only two persons still trying to get these two clues? Is there something we don't know lol !?! Has everyone else found the answers ?

Davemano - thanks for your help but I am still no wiser !!
Maisie - my last post was answering Leecon. I keep saying, and said originally that the 5 and 8 which you have found, Titus Williver, is shown as the Original Man in Black BUT IT DOES NOT relate to anything 3 and 4. You asked to be pointed in a new direction and this is what I did as there appeared to be no alternatives. Granny Grump is keeping low and she said she had only 44 to do.
Maisie - some 5 and 8 show on Rip Torn Filmography - if it helps
but Davemano... ...shouldn't it be a birth name or former name of the person; not a part they played in a film? (or am I grabbing the wrong end of the stick again?!
Leecon - I'm only going on other posts which gave me the impression that
a character name and a real name was in order. I don't know the
rules. Seems strange the some ask for clues but are not prepared
to give any.
I haven't got this either but will be posting with blank for this question as will many others. However you will always see the ones who ask help on other questions keep quiet when asked for clues, then they assume they have better chance of winning, that is why I tend not to bother and just return quiz with blanks. You know what to do, make a note of the ones you think do what I have said and don't help them!!
furrypusscat - thanks for your comment, but during the short time that I have been on AB this particular quiz seems to be 'pose a question but give nothing away', which I've not noticed before, and this is why I attempted to help, but not knowing the rules. Seems to me that the compilers will know who has broken the rules.
Dave, don't get me wrong. it is fine to offer help with clues although some quiz setters do state 'no asking' but this isn't one of them. I am sure many are very appreciative of the help.
