third time lucky, in the left hand column there is IW written over the word DERAS and in the right hand column there is IW written over ER with a squiggly e in between the IW and ER the e resembles the lower case symbol for epsilon.
apologies for that, the dingbat is hard enough

thanks, tilly, do you think it could be 'we three kings of orient are', this is the three kings in orion 'we of orient are' being oriental, my only doubt is the 'we' bit

I thought the ORIENTAL one was of the same type as IW, but your point about constellation has confused me :( All I can see for the other one is Sophia (Loren) and some newts lol....I'll keep pondering :)
