third time lucky, in the left hand column there is IW written over the word DERAS and in the right hand column there is IW written over ER with a squiggly e in between the IW and ER the e resembles the lower case symbol for epsilon.
apologies for that, the dingbat is hard enough

Hops, all I was trying to do was give a clue rather than the answer as there is some time to go before it closes. Think of where IW is..

Nooooo...you've already said half of it, now you need the rest...
You're welcome, Tilly xx

(Neither had I :))
Where's Mally?

Mally.....cooooeeee!

Now for Eflorents. :-)
Aaaargh!
You'll be sending the completed quiz in in no time at this rate. :-)
Ah! Well done Jo.
So is the squiggly E a form of ampersand?
Eflorents is almost an anagram of First Noel
Thank you, Calibax :) Yep :)
^That was a suggestion not a clue. I don't know the answer!

before my post sails away into the distance would you help me with:-

EFLORENTS

the only relevent anagram i could find from day one was FERST NOEL which could be argued is FIRST NOEL phoenetically but the quizmaster does not normally do two words inside one like this unless the answer is mixed nuts or frankincense or some proper connection.

ORIENTAL written over ORION

i have two answers, firstly, STAR OF THE EAST and secondly, WE THREE KINGS OF ORIENT ARE
i am not happy with either because the quizmaster again as repeatedly said you must answer the dingbat in the order in which it comes, ie. ORIENTAL comes first and not ORION, also orion is a constellaton and not itself a star so that would suggest that east or eastern or of the east comes first. a perfect answer would have been UNDER EASTERN STARS but alas although this is a book it is nothing to do with christmas as far as i can see, so as my old grandpappy used to say i'm flummoxed
I have a possible answer for Sophia and her newts. I'll be back with a clue..

..again, hope I'm on the right track..
Despite all the clues I'm no further forward with the IW one.
