It's a lot cooler here now, thank god, 21-22 degrees. I was out walking at around ten this morning and it was so lovely, just the way I remember my childhood summers, warm enough to wear light clothes but no sweating like a BBQ pig.

35º, so we went for lunch in the campo (countryside) where just the locals goe, ab fab, now resting in air con room. Have done my top-up tanning and been in the pool 2x, wunderbar!!!

I went for a walk today about 8.00 and the weather looked a bit iffy but the sun has been out properly for a while now I'm pleased to say.

Thank you all for your good wishes. We are having a joint birthday this year as DH was otherwise engaged on his birthday. We have had the ceremonial parcel unwrapping and are about to open the champers....I may be gone some time.....

My son has been and gone. He says now he wants to play the piano so I suggested he went for lessons and he said no he'd teach himself. Very doubtful, I have to say but didn't tell him that. Bless im!

not my sting, Jude, I am fine, another person's. The ice pack suggestion was met with 'It feels like I've got the whole fridge sitting on it'. It doesn't actually look very swollen, as it's on the shin so nothing much to swell, but the doctor thinks it's infected, hence the cillins.
