Reading between the lines I have the feeling Mamyalynne knows the answer. It has me stumped though. I normally get these pretty quickly as music 1950-2020 is my specialist subject, but on this one I've found all the countries and trawled through the song title search sites and can't find any PS ones. I got a Smashing Pumpkins one but that's the wrong way round.
I'm wondering- do fictional countries count?
I've also tried listing all the PS artists and then going through song lists:
paul simon
pluto shervington
Patrick swayze
Patti Smith
Patty Smythe
percy sledge
pete seeger
peter sellers
pete & peter shelley
pointer sisters
Primal scream
polysphonic spree
prefab sprout
This list may trigger some ideas for someone but I couldn't find any songs with a single word answer (which is what Mamyalynne seemed to suggest we need) , but as I mentioned earlier I did get things like Bay of Mexico if that counts.
Maybe it was someone not recognised primarily as a singer- say Phillip Schofield or Pamela Stephenson
We could do with knowing some other examples of Qs and As- eg would Bird of Malawi by Publicity Stunts be acceptable. (I made that up)
I searched numerous times for that M by Paul Simon but could not find one by him- only the Dylan song and others)
As we have established it's a 'no asking' quiz not sure it would be fair to list other Q&As - suffice to say all the others are listed as per title and artist.
Okay, thanks- although beadcrazy has not made it clear that the song title and artist are exactly in the form M by PS, although as no-one (including those who have the quiz) seems to have corrected that I am pretty sure that it must be a one word song title we need plus the name of the artist(s)
