Sunday. I had a lovely surprise yesterday. Shortly after I logged off here, the phone rang, my friends down the hill, 'Get dressed' I was told. 'we are picking you up in a few minutes'. So I did, they arrived and said 'We are going to Gloucester Cathedral, to see the Hospice River of Flowers.
The flowers are about a foot across, made of steel and painted in the hospice colours of sky blue and yellow. There are over 200 laid out in a serpentine form across a lawn, each one representing a patient that didn't survive their illness. The relatives will be able to collect their flower from the hospice in April. I shall be there for mine, my friends have told me so.
When restaurants are open to the public again I will take them to the TA. Well, they will take me, but I will pay. They had arranged the hire of a scooter for me too.
True friends. When we got back, there was a note on the mat from next door neighbours, saying to let them know if i need any running around and they will either take me or do it for me.
I'm a lucky man.
Have a happy day everyone.
my mate got a few veg for me friday, i am hoping that we can see each other again this week, she is having to cope with two children off school now, and trying to work from home, must be very difficult for her and her family
Morning TL. You're right. As a child I was taught by my parents to treat others the way you would like to be treated. I've always tried to live by that.
Dentist needed - though it's not hurting now. I have had a problem with an upper pre-molar being tender to the touch but not aching per se. Anyway I ran some floss up there last night and it got stuck - next thing was that the crown came away so now a wee bit of a hole in there - and feeling rough to the tongue.
