Waiting for us this evening, Delias, a giant one. Not sure what to have with it, maybe just some sourdough bread to mop up the juices, and a glass of wine.

A bit of sticky toffee pud for afters if we feel like it, not sure I do to be honest but will wait and see, seem to have gone off lots of my favourite foods 😏

Sounds lovely. I'd have treated myself to a couple of lamb chops to go with that.

Was having ferret in the freezer Tilly, and couldn't come up with much, the sausages we were going to have with it got cooked and eaten two days ago due to some visitors unexpectedly needing feeding.

Ive found a couple of Gingsters pasties which I'll probably do for OH, well, one of them, I quite like them as a standby but don't really fancy them tonight.

What are you having?

Spaghetti Bolognese tonight. It's bubbling away nicely.

Haggis with roasted carrots (haven't got any neeps available) - probably won't bother with afters.

I did a vat of spag Bol a few weeks ago and have about five good portions in the freezer, must have some next week, it's an easy meal which we both enjoy.
I'm not sure what's happened with my appetite lately, there's not much I actually fancy, I just go through the motions to feed OH.

Enjoy yours Tilly 😊

Question Author

Now you're talking, canary, I could just eat haggis and whatever it comes with 😋

I've got some chipolatas in the slow cooker...I'll add some cubed aubergine and peppers shortly.

Sourdough for juices sounds yummy.

We've certainly ot some fine epicurians in Answerbank.

Long may it continue 😋

Spaghetti & homemade meatballs. Garlic bread spread with my loaded homemade garlic butter.

Question Author

Epucurious epicureans maybe, canary 😉

Pasta, I don't really like aubergines, but put them in the ratatouille because it called for them, something about the texture and the taste.. Mind you, I hated lettuce of any description when I was younger and decided I needed to like it so persevered and survived!

Question Author

Now you're talking Sharon, not much point having wishy washy garlic bread is there? I put about ten whole garlic cloves in this 'ere ratatouille, OH isn't keen on garlic so my thinking is if they're whole he can pick them out and leave them🙄

Vagus, I guess we won't be doing much missing tonight!! 😁

Kissing!!!!!

The kissing will be missing!

Question Author

Ha ha, indeed, ladies! Mind you, not much fancying the kissing so won't be missing it 💋

Vagus, I didn't care too much for aubergine as a child. But, I adored my mother's Eggplant Parmesan. Smothered in cheese and it's gorgeous. Now I don't need the cheese...though I have a recipe that uses liberal amounts of Burrata. It gets sloppy and gooey.
