If so you might be able to help me with my query.

I think that some, if not all, BBC programmes are not recorded to my hard drive but bookmarked to link to iPlayer.

The fast forward and rewind functions work differently to how they used to and still do for other channels; the 'recordings' start exactly on time and not with the 5 minutes early setting I have for for recordings; they end exactly on time and not with the 10 minute extra I have in settings.

Can anyone confirm one way or the other?

Go into settings and you can set the pre record and post record times to suit you. It taook me a while to get used to the controls but still have a few annoyances over some changes from the previous box.

Yes, I did that as soon as I had the box some years ago. It works with all the commercial channels and used to work with the BBC.

That is why I am thinking the recordings are just links to the programmes on iPlayer.
