I know it's pretty late but if any 'G' fans are still about and would like to swap or confirm I'd love to hear from you - I've gathered as many as I can, but have come to a halt S

I had epizoan (I started with epizoic but it didn't fit.). Agree with pasear
Thanks atoach, I assume there may also be others of mine that need to be perfected when fitting into the grid..... Only time will tell !!
Unfortunately, I may not be able to start second part of exercise until after the weekend owing to other commitments. (S)
I did not have the full list when I started filling in the grid, and I had to change a few of those that I did have.

Steff - rendered fat ? Lard glass? Dripping glass ? The word I have is nothing to do with fat as far as I can see. Exhausting, wearisome ... maybe.
Thanks Steff and atoach for your comments on later thread that I have started. As I said I've completed the grids. The real bugbears for me were the French phrase at V and the Russian revolutionary at B.
Now, as I said, I keep looking through the grids for these other names but can see nothing. Inspiration may strike, you never know !
I am having real trouble fitting the answers in. I suspect that it means I have some wrong!

Need the 8 letter G word and the 5 letter N, along with the 11 letter P - is it painstaking?. Also 11 letter L.

Is the V 13 top of the rh grid and the Z 12 at top r of LH grid?

Thanks guys in anticiation.
I have V top RH grid and Z bottom LH grid.

P is not painstaking

As for the others ...

I started filling in before I had all the answers so this might work for you too.

But I found the G and N words through assiduous googling, and the L word is based on greek roots.
Just to add to the party, I am left with two three letter words to put in Soc and Xor and the only places left are _ O _

Which one goes in which?

Minoru, use of the requirement that each grid contains solutions beginning with the complete alphabet solves this problem.
Have now finished and all allocated to grids ... thanks for earlier pointers atoach. (S).

WOW !! I can actually help someone, instead of other way round = that is, if you are still looking, macpark.
Well, having said all that, I hope they're correct - I have

G [8] Geropigh

L [11] Litterateur

N [5] Nidor

P [11] Pedetentous

hope that's right !!

atoach, sorry didn't mean tp be so cryptic [ha ha !!] but I had a strange feeling I'd heard 'Tallow glass' somewhere before but who knows ?? anyway - Good luck all Steff
Hi Steff, I had a good day yesterday and finalised puzzles. Surprisingly the allocation of answers to the grids is not too difficult assuming the correct answers are to hand.
I was able to make one or two small amendments to my answers as I filled them in.

Your answers for N and P are spot on, but the G word needs to be geropigA to fit in.

I originally had your L word as an option but it doesn't fit .... answer to this is Logographer.

good luck (S) ☺
I agree with sarumite that G(8) is GEROPIGA, tried to post this late last night (actually early this am) but the A/B was down. Thank heavens it is back today.

atoach gave a clue to V (5,2,6) but I am still struggling with it. Any more help available?

Sorry about the G word, can't read my own scrawl, I have it finishing in an A. Thanks for the corrected L - that would have been fun to try to put in,

JRB the first word is the name of a fashion magazine and if you out that into onelook.com with al the ?? ?????? it should give you the answer, however if you need more hlp I'll come back to the site later - must admit I'm watching the cricket [and 'Pup's' just made a hundred !!!]

Catch you all later - Steff

ps - knew I'd forget something - what did you decide for the T word a mirror - samurite ?? atoach was most mysterious about the answer they'd decided on so I'll have to ask you thanks S
Steff .. am offering this as a bribe not remind me about the cricket ... can't take too much more of it ! How bad are we, or is it just that Aussies are far too good?
T answer is " Tiring Glass" .. Cheers (S).
Thanks Steff - I was so near and yet so far!!

Reminds me of English cricket - the Aussies are certainly rubbng our noses in it - when will our batsman and bowlers both succeed in the same test ?????
Yes, "tiring glass" is what I (eventually) had.

thanks to all for Tiring glass, however having worked out most of the grids I find I've 4 problem areas E outer germinal layer of embryo, W aged skin according to Spenser, I can't seem to fit pasear in properly and my top LH corner, RH grid looks a bit suss [and I promise I'll never mention cricket again] so if anyone's is around I'd welcome some help - I knew it all looked too good S
OK steff, we may not be good at cricket but I think we have a world class conkers team!!

For "E" try Epiblast .... (I originally had Ectoderm but had to change it to fit grid).

W = Wrizled (thanks atoach for lead on that one).

Pasear fits in RH grid bottom left.

The top left of RH grid should have Douanier as first across answer with Logographer as first downward answer.
I will be off to local rugby match shortly but will look again later to see if I can be of further help.

Cheers (S).
