Herculis KM Links Game for February
42 Answers
As last weekends competition was for the last week of January and with February almost with us I'd just like to check with the participating players of our cerebral little past time - shall we continue with the excellent set-up created initially by ShamrockBlue and then maintained at the same high standard by crofter with assistance from sarumite by running the comp. over the full month - with 'Hot Shot of the Week' - self-explanatory and then the overall Monthly Champion obviously at the end of the month.
I would appreciate feed-back and suggestions - are we all happy to go with the original or do changes need to be made? I usually work on the premiss - if it aint broke etc, but that's just me !!
OK over to everyone for comments, please S

I am quite happy to continue to get 0 points a month , it's not the winning but the taking part as some might say . Not to be taken for granted I do appreciate all the work that everyone concerned with this competition puts into it. How many people put entries in , about 50-60 every week ? Think that shows how popular it is .

G'day Steff .. hope all is well in Oz .... (but definitely still not talking about the cricket)!
Giving thought to your above post ref KM links, I wonder if it would be preferable to just run it on a weekly basis (as we did originally) ... it may be overkill to run two separate leagues on a monthly basis. The ultimate aim being to achieve a maximum 4 from 4 guesses .. this has not yet been achieved, and I think it unlikely to be accomplished in a hurry.
At the end of the day the decision must be with both yourself and the majority views, but I offer my initial thoughts for consideration.
You're doing a fine job down there .. but must be almost bedtime .. perhaps just time for a couple of tinnies??
Cheers for now (S) ;o)

Hi Steff,..hope you are well.
Yes..whatever is suitable and okay by you Steff.
I think whoever (whenever somebody!) gets 4 out of 4, they are going to go down in the record books anyway!
Maybe it going over 4 weeks gives the likes of me a bit more time to catch up with some of the others!...Well I can dream....

P.S. you are doing an excellent job..many thanks for keeping us going.
-Why doesn't Sarumite want to discuss cricket with you???!!

Complete agreement with (most) that has been said. I love the extra buzz of our friendly competition and bonus points put the icing on it! seekeerz, if you can cope with the work then please continue as before. ShamrockBlue was a great birthmother, crofter and sarumite fantastic adopting mothers and I am sure that you will be the same!

Not wishing to deny Aquagility the undoubted pleasure of rising before dawn and rushing unshaven to the local newsagent in his jimjams and slippers, (hopefully beneath an overcoat), I hereby withdraw my earlier suggestion and attempt to jump on the bandwagon of those supporting retention of the existing format!
If you need any assistance whatsoever Steff (as I know it can be quite time consuming) please don't hesitate to ask.
Cheers (S) ☺☺

Pauline WASH your mouth out immediately!! ... don't ever mention that " C word " on here again .. at least not in the presence of an Aussie!!
JRB .. I have to advise you that not one member of the trio mentioned, i.e. ShamrockBlue, crofter or myself, will ever experience motherhood ! If we did there might be a small fortune to be made! ;o)

Aquagility ... the thought of you running to the newsagent WITHOUT pyjamas leaves vey little to the imagination, so I think I'll pass on that one!!
Pauline ... It's a good job Steff's in the land of nod at the moment, with you using language like that, luckily I think I can hear her sleeping soundly ... zzzzzz zzzzzz
