It asks for how many pence??????? this is similar to the quiz channels on tv thru the night where the answer is never easy. ive seen odd bits of these programmes and its never the obvious answer or even a more logical obscure one. id like to know how they are worked out myself just out of curiosity im not going to waste money phoning these programmes in the unlikely hope of getting thru to give the wrong answer.
Like you fatdancer (sorry I sound very rude saying that!) I can not fathom out the answers to these questions you find on quiz television. The answer seems to bear no relation to the question so must be a trick way of doing it I think. Would love to hear an explanation. There must be a reason why some are written in words and others are written in various other mathematical formats. Or perhaps it's just the obvious answer!
