This fourth and final week of the reign of Queen Christiana found her in a more generous state of mind. I can now reveal the chosen Link Words of Christiana were:

All the clues were given in the preamble and the early entrants took full advantage of the generosity of the departing monarch. None more so than Alibobs , who came in at 09.02 with no fewer than THREE of the links. She picks up SIX Points for this effort making her "Hot Shot of the Week" and takes her monthly total to EIGHT Points (making her the July MM Champion)

Alibobs was closely followed (in every respect) by patchett who had two of the links and was within the two-minute limit to pick up FOUR Points this week and take her monthly total to SEVEN Points (so close). In most months, this superb performance would have won the day!

slaney also satisfied the Two-minute Rule for her NOTHING VENTURED and picked up TWO Points! This achievement however is nothing compared with her winning ENIGMATIC VARIATIONS this week! Last week, EV was won by Christiana herself! You all have to be very clever to feel confident when acting the fool as we do. We have nothing to prove to anyone!

The last link to fall was KING MAKER and it lasted until 09.05, when kettledrum lodged her well-considered predictions and picked up THREE Points for her efforts.
