Medical Laboratory World August

As ever, I've got a couple ( well, five ) to finish in this laboratory medicine based crossword.
Help with this one clue may get me on my way again.
Factor in faecal movement when a joint-university involvement's held up (8)
?L?U????
I thought joint may be KNEE or ANKLE with U for university and RE - for involvement. But Im drawing a blank in finding any anagrams.
Any help would be appreciated.

You wll probably get phonecalls from them now asking all sorts of questions about budgets and the type of processes your lab does. They ring me about once every two months and I blag my way through......God knows how!
Have you started this months yet? We are so short staffed at the moment I never have time to do it at work anymore. Four people have left in the last month and we're weeks behind with the work, but hey! crossword prizes are a lot more important don't you think?
Fingers crossed for this month, still no MLW though.

Hi Joanna, I've had a few days off as well, so I've only just picked up the Lab News today ( still no MLW ), I'll probably post it, although I think the posties are still on strike here in Liverpool, and it's got to be in by Friday, hasn't it ?
Hopefully they'll extend the deadline. I've put my home phone number for the Lab News, so if they ring me during the day, there'll be no one there.
If you need any help with this month's ( I'm sure you won't ) leave me a note.

Hi Eddie,
I have only one left on the Lab news, but I think I may have gone wrong somewhere. I've left it at work so I don't know the exact words or number. It's the one about the dance music with a thump on each beat?
I've got D?S?E , let me know what you think. If you need any that I may have got right let me know.

Hi Joanna
Thanks, I've just checked it out ! I thought they might think the caption was offensive, and not pick it, but luckily I was okay.
I got this month's today. If you haven't got it yet, the caption contest is Santa on a jet-ski, I'm not coming up with any good ideas yet!
I haven't got many other crosswords on the go at the moment, so I'll probably start on the Lab News one tonight.
Speak to you soon Ed.

Yeah ! and I thought mine was bad !
If I come up with a good caption - you can have it if you like, they'd never pick the same person twice, I don't think.
.............Umm, not that I'm coming up with any ideas yet.
I've done the crossword, the only ones I struggled with were 2 down, which I'm sure I've got, but don't understand the clue fully, and 24 down which is a mountain in Wales.
Good luck with the Accreditation ! Eddie
