Yesterday morning, Queen Pauline posted her choice of words to be matched. Some claimed to be attuned to Pauline's wavelength - Were you? Some claimed it was Pauline herself who was psychic - Was she? Now's the time to find out.

I am now in a position to reveal that Queen Pauline chose the following word pairings:

travel SICK(NESS)
GOD'S gift
PENNY wise.
three WHEELER


Plenty of possibilities there, so who were the lucky ones who earned the points?

So, did the New-Year smile on you? Did the Ouija board help you to discover Queen Pauline's links? Did you find her crystal ball in the Campbell-Stokes Sunshine Recorder? Or were you just keeping your fingers crossed? Did it work?

There were mixed fortunes for the players this week with more 'nil-points' than anything else. The shrubbery crowd only managed to pick off two of the hits with sarumite fist picking up 2 points for PENNY WISE and ulysses100 at 9:10 earning 2 points for THREE WHEELER.

At 9:42 JMR27 found TRAVEL SICK(NESS) for 2 points as well and a minute later (within the 2-minute rule) Strix earned a bonus for the same match and along with matching THREE WHEELER made a total of 3 points.

The final link held out until 10:27 when dd47 found the elusive GOD'S GIFT for 2 points as well.


All that remains is to decide who is the '*** HOTSHOT OF THE WEEK ***' and for once that was easy.

Someone this evening has had a great surprise and this warrants special treatment . . .

Magyar has managed a Full House of 4 matches !!!!! That gets 2 bonus points + 1 for each match = total of 6 points.

Wow - Full House Magyar - Well Done. Well I will have to get down to work next week and try to get onto Pauline's wave length. I've been a little pre-occupied the last few weeks, but back home on Tuesday, so back to normal by the weekend (I hope).
