Good morning all and welcome to my fourth week as Pope Adrian the Abundant. It would seem that the entreaties of those that have been on their knees praying for miracles have been answered.
A couple of Sundays ago, my wife and I drove round the 'Road to Hell': so-named by Chris Rea in song referring to that large car park euphemistically known as the M25. We were on our way to Windsor to visit the Savill Garden, which is a 35-acre section of the Great Park containing an extraordinary range of flowers and trees from around the world. Windsor is a lovely town to wander around, if it wasn't for the tourists! It is pleasant to walk down to the River Thames and across the bridge into Eton. We also occasionally go to the Theatre Royal in Windsor, where they often stage new productions before transferring to London's West End or go off on tour around the country (usually with casts containing well known names). Another delightful attraction is to take a boat up the river and arrive at the Royal Windsor Racecourse in style.
Now the mad rush seems to have settled down - it might amaze you, Aq, but in my saner moments I do actually support my home team, but when they start behaving like big-headed clowns, I completely disown them.
Plus one or two of my favourites are no longer playing and this takes away some of the interest/pleasure.
Your Holiness, I do hope you will ignore my trespassing on your private space - mea culpa.
