Well, we are in the second week in the reign of “Prince Philip” (aka centrino) and last weekend the MM launch went absolutely without a hitch. Apart from Strix, points proved difficult to come by ~ but I think Round 2 will be much more profitable regarding points scored. The second week is always more relaxed, when setters can focus more on the subtleties behind link setting. Since Strix is a fairly recent MM Links Champion, his five points may well be overlooked at the end of the month and so there should still be everything to play for.

You can expect “Prince Philip” to post the MM Links tomorrow morning; starting at 08.45am and declaring the words to be linked 09.00am, when MM Links kicks off in earnest. Remember ~ in the MM Links Game, initial hits (or repeated hits shortly afterwards) gain bonus points!

Of course, you should also look out for the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at a very early hour (which is difficult to predict precisely). Consequently, the timing of your posting is deemed to be irrelevant ~ only the number of hits you are able to register. The regular organiser of KM Links comes all the way from Oz and goes by the name of “seekeerz” (aka Steff) and has held this honorary position for well over two years. Our sincere thanks for this on-going service, Steff.

As I always say ~ “Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?” They remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards. Over the last weeks, we have welcomed four or five talented newcomers ~ some of whom have found early success with their predictions.

Until I see you tomorrow ~ “Happy Linking”!

:o)
The Croftoller exhorts you to try harder and get in tune with or be empathetic with and "more focused on the subtleties" of the preambles of Prince Philip!

WELL , don't.

I don't want to be deliberately ignored, cast aside and treated as a leper by him.

So please get more links than me (don't worry, it'll happen anyway!)

So please, please try to not concentrate and not to be on time - I didn't and look what happened to me!
Oh Strix, you big wuss! Stop ranting! You're supposed to be wise!! and all those double negatives are confusing!

evening Dusty
hope you are ok
don't ruffle his feathers!
Evening all...
Strix you just love it!
Well I don't know about you lot, but I'm still looking for my first point this year!
I only joined in last week after going awol for a month or so...but I did score...I think!
Good to have you back, Pauline. Are you better now?
'Getting there' as they say tearinghair...thanks.
It's been a long haul...and should be a lot more active over the next few weeks.
I have my orders from the medics...and of course we know they are always right! :-))
Yes, well..... in the absence of anything else, I suppose you have to go along with their advice!
I am hoping to launch Dragonfly 5 as my first project, on the road to recovery...
Shouldn't be long now...
Oh, Lordy, Lordy, Friday is back again! By which I mean the mistress of the Shrubbery is back in residence.

Well, I can't give you a Dragonfly tune but how about Owl City with:

Now I'm getting excited (not a pretty sight, I might add). Dragonfly 5 is a treat in store - crofter whetted my appetite back in August with a copy of an old Dragonfly, and I loved it. I think I shall have to go and have a glass of supermarket plonk to celebrate.
Never heard that before Strix...

You lot haven't kept this place very tidy! I think you men have left all your rubbish behind!
tearinghair...if you would like a copy of any of the other Dragonfly Quizzes to practice on...just e-mail me.

Yes please - email on its way.
Welcome back, Pauline. I can only stay for a few minutes, just time for a glass of plonk. Then I'll be heading for my bunk and a few pages of my book before, hopefully, sleep arrives.
You'd better not stay up too late, either!
I am reading a Sebastian Faulks novel at the moment Aqua...what are you reading as a matter of interest?....or daren't I ask!!
Bed early?...I am getting better!!
If you are reading "Birdsong", Pauline, I hope you enjoy it. I think it is one of the great novels of modern times.
P, I'm reading Christopher Booker's "The Real Global Warming Disaster". It may not sound like bedtime stuff but, believe me, it's really gripping. Should be required reading for our politicians - of all parties.

OK, rant over. I'm so glad you're feeling better.
