Avatar puzzle - Why so few?

70% of Chatterbank users have ditched their 'jellybaby' image and set themselves up with a brand new avatar.

Only 5% of Q&P posters have changed theirs.

Come on folks - show we are not a bunch of no-brainers in here and get yourselves a new image.

I struggled for a while, but even as a golden oldie I persisted and got there, despite having to tick an invisible box at the end of the process. LOL

after an hour the ED and assistant Ed , two computer tech guys and a bt engineer sorted mine out for me

I picked something out of the many pictures of grass carps on the internet. Very much like jimjools avatar.

Markessery - If you go to editors blog it is explained how to do it. Only took about 10 minutes to sort out. I found a pic I liked on the internet, right clicked and did the option of save to my pictures. Then when you go on the gravatar website and join up. When they have verified your email you select where your pic is and edit it if necessary.
Then on your profile here you tick the box at the top of your information to activate. Simples

Hi Gen2

I believe I was the first Q&Per to set up my new avatar.

I was just loitering around yesterday afternoon when up popped the Editor's blog saying that, eventually, their system was ready.

The only check box i have is invisible unless I tab and even then it doesn't work!

Its at the top of the list of items in your own details, that stupid list that ends with a place for you to enter a joke - as if....

Hi gen2 - I was one of those who don't have a tick box in my profile which caused a bit of delay.
ChuckFickens kindly posted this link yesterday to show where it should be - just below where it says "Your avatar is currently inactive". I clicked on it and then pressed submit at the bottom of the page, and it finally worked.

It's filling up fast with Avatars gen2 after the initial hiccups !!

changed last night as soon as I realised it was now possible, had a few problems at first but soon came up ok

Not quite the picture I wanted and can't seem to change it , but I suppose it's better than what was there before. Like some of the avatars - very original ones there.
