0430 on a Sunday morning and no one about. I suppose you are all in bed recovering from the effects of too much booze last night instead of watching the sunrise like me while getting ready for work. With the cattle grazing in the distance, mist rising from the river in the valley below, the local barn owl still patroling his/her patch, the local songbirds giving it some, pheasants and partridges wandering around, a faint reddish colour appearing in the sky just below the horizon on the other side of the valley, and the promise of what looks like another cracking day ahead, and all of this I can see out of my living room window. It's the best time of the day so why miss it, cmon ABers shift yer arris and take a look for yourselves.

The only thing missing would be the smell of bacon and eggs cooking on a narrowboat on the K&A canal. Shame the wife gets bitten by midges.
