As I am not sure whether her Ladyship has returned from her travels in New England, I am happy once again to invite you all to pop in.
There is a large selection of tailcocks on the side buffet table and some warm melton mowbrays pies straight from the aga. That should cheer us on a damp and chilly bank holiday weekend.
I feel turnout will be low tonight, so perhaps any donated items could go into a bran tub instead of the non raffle (that should appease the committee-whoever they are)
My small donation is
3 apostle spoons
and a jar of vegemite.
Evening all have finished moat-cleaning duties and cut the grass. Have stuck some windmill things in the lawn to stop the moles so we will be ok for croquet tomorrow.
Have brought nothing for the non-raffle but I have got some mini pizzas and cupcakes and a bottle of elderflower wine for the boofay
