There have been some recent reports of damp patches on the upstairs grand landing. The cleaning staff have been working overtime to overcome this problem, sadly without complete success.
Members are , therefore, requested to be extra careful with the waterworks.

Members are also respectfully reminded that Rule 7 still always applies.
The Committee has been made aware of some breeches .

Non-raffle prizes will be gratefully received .

Well, I would hope that your TV was a bit of both black and white. If it was all black or all white, we wouldn't know what we were watching. If it was all black we would think it was turned off and there where would we be ?
Hope you can get to OZ, but beware when you come back you will be upside down for a while. (I'm still slightly outside in from crossing the pond.)

I like the sound of the Wincarnis wizard it would probably be nice with a cherry in it. Lets be daredevil I'll have a double. I can only say that I didn't watch where I put my feet, if I had broken something I might have considered it. If you see a wet patch around where I'm sitting I think my hottie is leaking.

gaviscon gurgle (3 parts gaviscon, 2 parts soda water, splash of grapefruit liquour)
ramipril floater (amarula carefully poured over pernod with a sprinkling of multicoloured ramipril and an umbrella - needs to be made in a large glass to accomodate the umbrella)
ibruprofen blast (smear the rim of a champagne glass with ibruprofen gel then dip in granulated sweetner, shake together 4 shots of guinness and 2 of blue curacao, gently pour into prepared glass and drop in a sugar cube soaked in campari)

these are all hugely successful in taking the edge off things, especially the varnish off the table.

You may notice I have re-routed the moat while you were away so that we now have a swimming pool in the conservatory.
