Since last week, the weather in Yorkshire has taken a dramatic turn ~ although the Croft is sufficiently far south (and inland) to have escaped the heavy falls of snow. I am presently indulging in a bottle of good red wine ~ really just to generate some inner warmth and keep the chills at bay! By all accounts, the Lady Slaney is poised to launch her final week of MM Links tomorrow at 08.45am and her four words to be linked should be posted at 9.00am, when MM Links begins in earnest. Remember ~ early MM hits gain bonus points and some devious lateral may well be needed for some (not all) of her proposed link words!

As usual, I ask that you should also look out for the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at a very early hour (which is difficult to predict precisely). Consequently, the timing of your posting is deemed to be irrelevant ~ only the number of hits you are able to register. This version is monitored by our very own Wizard-ess of Oz (aka seekeerz) who never fails to come up to the mark. She is the original “Shining Wit” who makes Gillian McKeith (of “I’m a Celebrity”) look like the original “Whining Sh*t”!

Why not chance your arm at both Link Games? You have nothing to lose. Both games remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards to trace progress through each monthly contest. Both are entering the final stage of the November Contests when honours will be bestowed on the good and gracious.

Until I see you tomorrow, may I wish you ~ “Happy Linking”!

:o)

I am impressed, crofter, that a man of your exalted academic position and innumerable qualifications is even aware of our leading thespian, "Dr" (hmph) Gillian McKeith.

It has been a strange if not perverted pleasure watching the coprophiliac phoney doctor being averse to much more natural objects.

If any of the fellow contestants drown her in her own melodramatic self-publicising antics they can count on me to speak in their defence!!

Strix ~ If I understand yourdiatribe correctly, I agree with your sentiments!

Surely, a woman's knickers should carry a precious cargo intended to spice up life; but Gillian has lost the plot!

I don't believe that I am about to post the above!!
Crofter, let us not pussy-foot about, but it was a very strange way to try and curry f(l)avour.
Now settle down you men!
Evening all! Cold enough for you all?
Brass monkeys, Pauline, even inside the Owl's nest!
Brass Monkeys...now there's a good expression. If it's cold enough your balls will definitely fall off...The Brass Monkey that is ;o)
Evening all. We're not due to get any snow here in the Midlands until Monday (by which time the forecast will probably have changed anyway). I have to admit to a sneaky liking for the white stuff, but only to walk through or take photos. I bet the North York Moors look an absolute picture (apologies to anyone reading this who is up there and snowed in).
Hi Mazie!

Let's hope we have nothing like the snow we had in January.
It might look good and be pretty for Christmas Day, but then it can go! Anyway we wouldn't like to get snowed in in the shrubbery now would we? We'd all have to stay here until it thawed...can you magine it?
Hi Pauline. Great to see you. Hope you and the girls are good. x
Pauline, for the snow to be dispersed from the Shrubbery all YOU would have to do is -

BREATHE!
What a difference in the last two posts! A lovely message from Mazie...yes we're fine thank you...and then Strix just being himself and implying I am a dragon! Me who woudn't say boo to a goose! :-)
But probably pluck it, gut it, stuff it and eat it!
If needs must! :-)) If we all get snowed in we will have to eat what we can...
I will have to get the cauldron out...and the spell book! Before Strix says it. :-))
Hello everyone. No snow in Lichfield yet, but forecast for early Sunday morning. Have been away for a few days and forgot my password so couldn't get on here last week. Now the weather is getting so cold the car boots will stop so you may have me around a bit more !!!!
Evening all .. it has been snowing here in South Wiltshire this evening, and I've already cleared a path to the house.
Beavering away in the dark, I guess the neighbours thought I was mad .. ;O)
Have you done all your Christtmas Shopping at the car boots kay?
Good evening all....lovely and sunny here in Kent today, but bitterly cold on the golf course!

Just got in from a few pints with some friends, so must get someting to eat.
