The Club is now Open.

Good evening and welcome everyone.

How pleasant it is to be back in one's own home after the recent flurry of social activity.
I do hope all went well in our absence ?

The recycling bin did seem a tad full this week, but I expect all that glass came from the Home next door. They are rather an unruly lot there.

I believe that there is a Rollover Raffle tonight, so buy your tickets often and early.

Unfortunately tonight's speaker , the well known clairvoyant Miss T Ickmeg, has had to cancel due to a mouldy ball. If any members have 'the gift' , could they please make their way to the upper lesser hall where we will be happy to receive them.

It may be the key to ttfn's heart, Alexanderd, did you think of that ?
If so that tells us more about MissMeg than we really want to know!!
Question Author
But you found it, Alexanderd...perhaps it is your destiny .

Anyway, let's have a look at it .
Maybe it is the medicine cabinet.
It's about time some of us had our night sedation.
Enjoyed telling fortunes here, mi'ladyplease pay proceeds into BACS 19732001, will be baCK NEXT WEEK, but with increased rates.
I think you are right Ladyalex a few nightcaps and then I will wend my way off to bed. Do you believe in destiny or did you chuck the jug out of the window on purpose?
Going back to books, I have read all of Lindsey Davies's ones about Falco. I like detective books based in Rome and have just discovered a series by R.S.Downie, featuring Doctor Gaius Petreius Ruso. Am on book 4, Ruso and the River of Darkness. Perhaps we could have a reading corner ladyalex, liberally sprinkled with tailcocks and vol-au-vents of course. Those who do not read could listen to someone reading aloud to them. It works in libraries, so why not here. Oh, sorry, someone just said it was the children's corner in the library, not for adults. Never mind, perhaps something could be done. Don't ask me what. I am not good on ideas.
Jug? JUG? That was a Ming vase! Will take my pedantic self to commune with the moon.
Tot siens.
