Going back to books, I have read all of Lindsey Davies's ones about Falco. I like detective books based in Rome and have just discovered a series by R.S.Downie, featuring Doctor Gaius Petreius Ruso. Am on book 4, Ruso and the River of Darkness. Perhaps we could have a reading corner ladyalex, liberally sprinkled with tailcocks and vol-au-vents of course. Those who do not read could listen to someone reading aloud to them. It works in libraries, so why not here. Oh, sorry, someone just said it was the children's corner in the library, not for adults. Never mind, perhaps something could be done. Don't ask me what. I am not good on ideas.
