I seem to remeber that when Neil Armstrong landed on the moon , it was in early hours of the morning. However, i am at the moment readinfg a book called Moon Dust by Andrerw Smith and in there it says it was 5.17 pm Houston time, 1.17 pm California Time, it seems it would make it late Evening Uk time, is this correct please ?

Well it was the early hours somewhere! Does it say where on Earth it was 5:17pm?

The landing was at 20:17 UTC, the moon walk was 6 and a half hours later at 02:56 UTC

UTC is the same as GMT so as it was in the summer that's 21:17 and 03:56 BST

I imagine the confusion is in the landing and the moonwalk

Sorry only read the first part, doh!
Perhaps they were on Clanger Time?
This doesn't make sense - Houston can't be 4 hours ahead of California anyway.

My parents got me out of bed to watch it and I was furious with them. I wish to goodness I had paid attention now.
My parents took me out into the garden to look at the Moon so that I could "see" the men on it. I don't remember it because I was only 11 months old.
