Its a bit like the question, when you close a fridge door do you know if the light is off, or is it on.........

Or as a friend of mine said at business school when we were asked as the opening question on the law course.

Mostly sand, soda ash, dolomite, limestone, salt cake and aluminium. Silver if it's an old mirror.

there will always remain a reflection of sorts in a mirror regardless of whether you are looking at it or not
