If it's got roots, it'll last years.
We've planted previous trees, one of them is about 30' high now and has been there for about 15-20 years.

thanks
How much does it roughly grow each year? Mines just above my waist, Im bout 5'4. I'll check tonight if it has roots.
We've planted three before now and one died, one was doing fine before the neighbour concreted the space between our gardens, and one is growing well. We bought it about 10 years ago and it's now about 8 feet tall and very healthy (it was tiny when we bought it, only about a foot tall). It looks really bushy although it hasn't grown as quickly as bob's, so it may be a different species of tree. As for the one that died, I think the seller must have trimmed the roots too much. I think it's nice to try to plant them, interesting to watch them grow and they're attractive even in the summer.
Sometimes they boil the roots before selling on the tree so its pretty much kaput before u get it but gives the impression its re plantable..It makes good business sense as the year after you have to buy another but isnt a good option for the poor tree
