Men of a certian age who wear white trainers

Dont you think men in their forties and over look ridiculous in white trainers? I wouldn't be seen dead in them. What's happened to maturing with style?

and I am over 60 and wear jeans, and cropped trousers in the summer and things I find comfortable and that I think look OK on me. I don't give a damn what other people think of what I wear. I dress to please myself not anybody else.

I suppose I should be wearing a nice summer 'frock' and some nice beige old lady sandals as far as David is concerned.

What should they wear? Loafers and pressed trousers? My dads almost 50 and he wears jeans, really nice ones!

It's nothing to do with age it's whether you can carry it off.

Cropped trousers should only be worn if you have long legs. They make short legs look shorter.

I am not in a sorry state!!! But I don't dress to please other people. I wear what suits me not what I am told I should be wearing for my age. I have always been told that I look good - so no problem!!

I look a damn site better in jeans that a load of young people that I see!

They are fine for sports purposes or walking, or for people with foot problems (like I have)

I have Birkenstock trainers which are bliss for my poorly feet.

I must admit to not loking white trainers except for sports purposes.

I don't think it's white trainers or any other item of clothing, it's the outfit as a whole. If the rest of what's being worn goes with the trainers then that's OK. I saw a man yesterday wearing a suit, collar, tie and a baseball hat. It looked as ridiculous as a Californian surfer wearing a bowler hat.
