Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin's of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

I am watching an old Midsomer on ITV3, i'ts with John Nettles!

Oight oight shaney, up and at 'em in the morning (but do not wake me up thank you) x
Oight Oight all.

Do any of you remember the paper dolls Called Norah and Tilly in one of the women's monthly magazines in the 50's. Might have been Good Housekeeping. My grandmother always had the magazine and when I went to stay with her (which was often) there were lots of back issues to plough through and lots of Norah and Tilly's to cut out.
Mother only had Woman and Woman's Own!
I forgot there was also a story about them too!
Oh lottie that is super, I am still looking out for my Susan and Grace.. I'm all nostalgic now!!
Yes I remember Norah and Tilly, mum used to buy that mag when we were flush though so not often. Was going out in the morning but its already white and glassy here so no chance. Real snow is forecast for us on Friday. I am glad that things have settled down again...too much excitement gives me indigestion. There is a brilliant new daytime series on every afternoon ATM it's Father Brown stories, brand new I am amazed they are wasting it on us daytimers.
Anyway time for kip, oight oight
oh, everybody's orff already, are they? As I have a day without a medical appointment tomorrow I'm planning on sleeping in.
Good morning biddies. Had a lie in as Mr N wanted to watch golf in the lounge, but he's gone now, so better move me bones. Off to hairdressers to make appointment as I am looking a bit shaggy at the mo, I like being scruffy, but it has to be an ordered scruffy!

Hope jude is feeling a bit better, and shaney OK at the hospital today. Rest of you take care. You have a good day jno with no apps anywhere!
good morning all, its cold and grey here with sleet forecast. The dogs had breakfast and went back to bed then we all got up and they mooched some of my breakfast and went back to sleep again.
Domestic day here today i think.

Morning dolly dreamers..minus temps and dark
I could have done with a lie in, I didn't have a very good night (and totally bizarre dreams when I did sleep). I know the reason, by mistake I put day cream on instead of night cream and my face obviously thought it needed to be prepared for action.
Hope your appointment goes ok shaney.

sigh

Its lovely Robi but its finished....I keep very little when I have finished making it. That bathroom tiling has inspired me...I reckon I could do something similar....
sorry forgot, get well wishes for jude and good appointment wishes for shaney. I have no brains today.

yes woofy, aquiring the finished article would be lovely but not as interesting as being inspired to work on your own.
Oh Robi I love that house, I would like to live in it, I love all things Art Deco!

Raining here... and I couldn't go for a long walk cos I keep needing to pee and we do not have public loos, and all the bars where I walk are closed for winter, I can only just make it home from the village!!

I am having very strong dreams at the moment, not particularly horrid but disturbing, then I wake up worrying about things including the cat, but as Mr N says if I didn't have something to worry about, I would invent something!!!
Gosh it is sort of snowing outside, but it's strange, too light for sleet or rain but not sure what it is.
oh, that's a lovely house, Robinia, sort of seaside/moderne, isn't it. I don't think I could live up to it myself, but very elegant
A quick goodmorning (well afternoon actually) I am trying to appear motivated and getting on with neglected things. I am feeling better and trying to maintain a positive calm approach to life, ha, ha - that'll be the day. Be back later to catch up.

It's another lovely sunny day with a few bits of snow falling now and then.
P.S. Bloody fleas!!
Mousey is sporting a big tick, but I cannot find it, she is so furry. I think Mr N is hoping that I will remove it, but have no nails to dig it out with.
