Any ideas on what I could buy my mum for her 70th birthday? I would like to get her something very special and memorable. Thanks

This may sound silly, but it was very much appreciated by my parents on their golden wedding. A newspaper printed on the day of her birth !! Several sites available, just Google them. Mine came with a certificate showing what things cost, who else was born that day etc.
How about a framed famil;y picture of her children, grandchildren or whatever.

Try to make it a surprise.

If not how about a montage of various family photgraphs in a frame.

Thanks Scotman84. Good idea.
Have a look at www.timecapsulegifts.co.uk .

It would make a very special present as well as somewhere to keep cards and photos etc
Continuing the photo theme, various sites (such as Truprint) do memory books, where you upload pictures that they then put into a special book for you.
Or, for something different, how about a champagne flight in a balloon.
or this ... eat it once you've taken a million photos!

I've just posted to the question about the 30th birthday about my friends site www.saysomethingspecial.co.uk you can do an online classified announcement simular to what you see in the back of papers its only a little gift but your Mum could keep the print out forever.
