What typically British products can I bring with me when I visit the rellies in NY in a few weeks time? Musn't be anything so odd that they will be packing it back in my luggage behind my back--lol!!

What a shame annie....when my daughter visited these same relatives a few months ago my sister-in-law sent along a silk scarf and some silver earrings for me which I certainly didn't expect. I do hope the visit goes well for you anyway and that your relatives appreciate all that you do for them.
Hi pastafreak - didn't mean to sound so bitter there, I just found it a bit odd. Like most people, we always take a gift when we visit someone and always receive something from our visitors, even if it is only a sweetie for the kids. I can remember being very excited as a child when having someone come to stay and if they brought us something from a foreign country, that was so exotic and treasured. I guess that I just wanted a similar experience for my kids. They are however loving having their big cousins here, so in that way the visit is going well. They are nice people, maybe they just didn't think!
