his techniques only work on a small percentage of the population, those who are easily suggestible.  If you can know yourself that you are not suggestible, which would imply a strong self-conscious thought usually indicating stronger mind (basically can you analyse your own mind well enough to determine whether you are suggestible), then you prabably aren't, thus it's no problem in the scenario you've described.  Remember: Actualize your potential and then you may be able to free your mind.
