On The Buses
7 Answers
On the buses, generally speaking, Ladies sit next to ladies and men sit next to men. Is this because ladies assume they may be harrassed if they go and sit next to a man and men assume they might look like they want to harrass a lady if they sit next to them when there are available 'man seats' on the bus?

sglazier,
Excuse me,but are you living in the Victorian Era?(or some strange transport planet).
I lived in London for many years, but certainly never experienced this.As oxeyedaisy says,if there are no empty seats you sit next to the most respectable looking person (not always a good thing! LOL) that you can see.
I wish buses were so empty that I was given a choice,I don't like standing!
