If Jesus existed (and there's no verifiable evidence to say he did), and if his story is true, which is highly debateable, he wasn't the first to be born of a virgin, he wasn't the first to be raised from the dead, he wasn't the only son of your God - there were more before him - and neither was he your God himself. He was a Jewish rabbi - and that's all. You have no idea who wrote all these bible texts you insist upon quoting - and neither does anyone else - so please stop treating the people here as imbeciles with your superstitious nonsense. Most of them know their history - which is clearly more than can be said for you.

It might well have been the devil who provided the spark of inspiration that set the Wright Bros on the wrong track.
What has flight done for us? In times of strife it's another way of delivering death and destruction. In peace it's a major pollutant and a severe test of patience when one is stuck at an airport.

The modern God is the result of downsizing of heaven.

Before the asset stripping and liquidation by a hostile takeover there used to be many Gods. However the new owners wanted to save on costs decided that one God could do everything so the others were retrenched and their offices sold off.

Many of their followers protested and refused to honor the new management structure. Eventually it was realised that the holidays were the crucial point so all the previous holidays were reinstated as Christian festivals to keep the peace.

Most were renamed but for some reason the name Easter (from oestreus) stuck with the original.
