Islamic Girls: have you ever dated a Christian boy/guy?

I have a thing for this girl and I'm afraid I'll be rejected by her religion. I know she likes me and she always looks at me. She stares into my eyes without any break for a long time. She seems like she might be a rule breaker but I haven't ever seen her with any boys. She's always around her friends. She wears a head dress and everything. She's beautiful. Anybody ever been in my situation before?

I would say go talk to her, test the waters, no one on here can tell you about this particular young ladies own thoughts and desires or what value she places on her religion and culture. I don't think being a friend will be a problem, any advancement on that can be discussed.

It's one thing to like the look of a boy, and quite another thing to go against your family's wishes and actually date one. Muslim families (generally) guard their girls very closely.

As Ratter says, it depends on the individual and her or his circumstances in each case. Nothing new in it, for similar questions have arisen for centuries: blacks marrying whites, Jews marrying gentiles, Catholics marrying Protestants, people from one tribe marrying people from another. The only lesson seems to be that, over time, mixed relationships become more numerous and more widely accepted, at least in this country

Like Rowan says, just smile and say hello. If she shows an interest, then try to form a friendship. If not, forget it.

I know of a very happy Muslim/Christian mixed marriage, in which neither partner has given up their faith, and both families get on really well. Sure, there are many Muslims that would consider such a thing taboo, but it doesn't apply to everyone.
