I think I ought to bring people up to date. The story so far, are you sitting comfortably : -
I did once put rubbish in my neighbours bin but realising they were unhappy about it, I stopped. Now as it happens there is an empty house down the road that the builders are doing up and the bin which the builders use is in the street. So last week little old me puts my fortnightly 'offering' to the bin men in there. Remember this is an empty house.
Now the cause of all the trouble is my next door neighbour who calmly walked down the road a few years ago and trundled a black bin back to his house to use for compost and it now resides at the bottom of his garden. That's only one thing. Unfortunately my next door neighbours sister lives opposite where the builders are working and she saw me put it in the bin. She phoned my neighbour and he went down the road and got a bag of rubbish out of the bin (not mine, this was a large sack) and deposited it on my doorstep. Can you imagine my annoyance?
So now, when it gets to bin day I am thinking of putting my rubbish in his bin. I am sorry I did not explain it fully before, but it sounded too farcical and all I wanted to know, when all said and done, was whether I would get into trouble for putting my small amount of rubbish in my neighbours half empty bin.
That is all, thank you for listening. :-)
