do you believe in it?
i was gonna make a new account to talk about this so you didnt all think i was mad but the fact that we would have had the same avatar could have been a dead giveaway :P
anyway..... ive always had lucid dreams and often had what people refer to as sleep paralysis but ive always thought there was more to it than your brains awake but your bodies not kind of thing....if there was just the sense of paralysis i could believe it but the sense that something evil is in the room with me makes me believe its more than that... also i had this long before i heard others had it and after reading about it i find it completely weird that people throughout the ages from all different backgrounds and cultures can have the same experience of an evil thing near them
to cut a long story short a fortnight ago i gave someone a personal belonging of mine then later joked he was going to do voodoo on me
since then i have had night terrors a lot worse than ever before.... im not stressed, i dont touch alcohol or any drugs at all.... i spoke with a friend whos alim and he advised me to among other things play a recording of quran while i sleep... i did this for 2 or 3 nights and nothing happened. last night i forgot to put it on and it was back full force
so my question is simple.... do you believe witchcraft exists?

thats an opinion.. you dont have solid proof it doesnt exist just as i dont have proof of my beliefs and doing what ive been doing seems to have solved it because before nothing made it go away apart from me 'training' myself to come out of it when it was happening

*Pixi, I've given you a reasoned answer to your question, and I don't 'like' to come across in any way in particular, but do you really expect any rational person to take all this talk of magic, and spells, and Voodoo seriously? Why on earth would they? I wasn’t joking about feeling I’m experiencing the Twilight Zone – hence the :o/ *
and i answered it in a perfectly reasonable manner but i just find that if its something you dont believe you give mocking replies.... you are terrible where religion is concerned... you have never insulted me but ive seen plenty of replies to people from you that could be insulting... you think anyone who believes in something that you dont is stupid ... not a good attitude to have and just makes you look the stupid one tbh

*Not directly related to the OP but a couple of nights ago i had a small dream where i was driving a car along a sunny road with dry stone walls either side and I was 100% certain I was dreaming whilst having it. I distinctly remember thinking, I wonder where I really am. Wierd.*
zak ..knowing you are dreaming is just lucid dreaming.... its usually fun and if you concentrate you can do whatever you like...alter the dream, fly, float, whatever ... try it :)

*You're obviously a sensible person pdust, but the concept of blaming bad things on evil, as channelled through a person or 'witch' is a dangerous one.
In the hands of the less enlightened, such beliefs are a slippery slope towards hanging the old woman and her cat next door because your milk turned sour, or beating the demons out of a possessed child.*
ludwig firstly im not blaming anything on anything...ive said a few times i was joking about the voodoo but it made me think about stuff like that so i thought i would post as i like a good discussion and wondered others views on it.... the fact i sense evil doesnt mean i really think the guy has hexed me or anything... i do believe some form of evil force can happen but im not blaming a person for it.... as to the rest of your post...i think you've been watching too many horror movies as im sure that kind of behaviour is few and far between.....

Isn't it all about what you believe?? Witchcraft, druidism, Paganism are all "religions" attached to nature and by extension fundamentally real so yes I think they do exist. Christianity/Islam/Judaism etc are built on the belief of a single entity god which cannot be proven to be real....who is right??
Believe what makes you feel good....i'll stick to The Force

hi jno, thats just it... i dont believe for one minute anyone hexed me.... its coincidence and nothing more.... i just joked that they may do voodoo on me then this happened, i do believe its something evil but nothing to do with the person in question.... i just told the whole story cos i ramble loads lol..... it would have been far easier to just say do you think witchcraft exists and not say any more lol
well, the placebo effect is known to work - people given tablets made of nothing find they work because they've been told they're genuine. (Not for everyone, of course.) The power of the human mind is largely untapped. By the same token you could believe you'd been hexed and actually experience it. Some would call this "a weak mind" but it works both ways and can do them good as well as harm.
