/// It sickens me that when a muslim commits a crime people put all muslims in the 'evil' bracket, but when a catholic commits a crime you don't hate all catholics or when a white man commits a crime, you don't avoid all white men! ///

Ah! as suspected in your eyes it is all about being white and Christian is it?

When are you going to realise that with Islam's track record it is all a matter of "Give a dog a bad name"

I am wary of all Bull Terriers, but it doesn't mean that I feel the same about all dogs.

When have Protestants, Catholics, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs etc recently been seen committing murderous savage attacks over most areas of the World?

/// The whole country is becoming more ISLAMIC that is their plan ///

Judging by the number of Islamic apologists, not only the country, but also AB it would seem.

If they are so pro-Islam, why don't they become Muslims, that is of course if they are not already.
AOG - //If they are so pro-Islam, why don't they become Muslims, that is of course if they are not already. //

I am not 'pro-Islam', and I am an atheist, so that particular avenue of faith is closed off for me.

But supporting something doesn't necessarily mean that you want to join in - I am a big supporter of ladies' beach volleyball ... I'm sure you see my point.
I've just refilled the tea urn - anyone like a cup?
AOG - //I am wary of all Bull Terriers, but it doesn't mean that I feel the same about all dogs. //

The you should be.

All dogs are equally capable of attacking people, the size and reputation is not the issue.

Similarly, all faiths are capable of murder - the clothing and hats (remember your 'recognition' criteria? ) don't identify potential murderers.
Womens' beach volley-ball isn't responsible for most of the turmoil in the world.
Samjenko - I used that as a deliberately sarcastic reference to underline my point.

Would you have rather I had said the armed forces of the USA and allies?

Difficult, because I am not a supporter, but for the purposes of this point, I am happy to substitute them if it makes it easier to grasp.
SO (lol) you don't support our armed forces but you support Islam. I see.
Samjenko - almost a double whammy - I concede your first point, and would wish to clarify - it's not that I don't support our armed forces, more that I don't support what they are paid to do - a subtle but important difference.

As to the second point - a 'So' bullseye - I didn't say I supported Islam on my post, which is simple to know withiout checking back, because I have never ever said I support Islam, I am accused of being a 'supporter', and more offensively an 'apologist' - both accusations are without foundation.

Feel free to trawl back through seventeen years of posts if you wish - you'll find no evidence that I support Islam anywhere.
I didn't have to go far, Andy.

'hughes AOG - //If they are so pro-Islam, why don't they become Muslims, that is of course if they are not already. //

I am not 'pro-Islam', and I am an atheist, so that particular avenue of faith is closed off for me.

But supporting something doesn't necessarily mean that you want to join in '
/// Would you have rather I had said the armed forces of the USA and allies? ///

Ummmm!! always ready to defend those likely to attack us, whilst condemning those likely to defend us.

Seems to answer any queries one is likely to have, regarding where other's allegiances may lie.

AOG - are you suggesting Islay is not British because she was born abroad even though her father was in the military?
What?
^Are you questioning your own question, ummmmm?
ummmm

/// What? ///

Wasn't it I who should have used that word, in answer to your previous post?
Samjenko - //I didn't have to go far, Andy.

'hughes AOG - //If they are so pro-Islam, why don't they become Muslims, that is of course if they are not already. //

I am not 'pro-Islam', and I am an atheist, so that particular avenue of faith is closed off for me.

But supporting something doesn't necessarily mean that you want to join in ' //

I am not sure what point you believe you are making.

You quote me saying I am not pro-Muslim.

Is it because in the next sentence I refer to 'supporting something?

I would not presume to lecture you on basic English grammar, but of two sentences are separated by a paragraph, it is because they are not connected.

Let me add a bit to that sentence shall I - Supporting Stoke City doesn't necessarily mean that you want to join in.

is that clearer now?
AOG //Ah! as suspected in your eyes it is all about being white and Christian is it? //
Well then you suspected wrong I was using that as an analogy.
I am anti people being tarred with the same brush because of what a few do!
You may be happy with that but I am not!
AOG - //Ummmm!! always ready to defend those likely to attack us, whilst condemning those likely to defend us. //

I can't find a post where ummmm has defended or attacked anyone - are you sure you're on the right thread?

Ah! as suspected in your eyes it is all about being white and Christian is it?

no sherlock it is about the (rather obvious) fallacy

one dog is black therefore all dogs are black
( because ABers are not good at extending - I will extend for them - and so one muslim is bad therefore all muslims are bad...)

this is called universal generalisation and is not valid in this instance
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_generalization

this fallacy is repeated on AB every ( damned ) day
either on the daily racist thread or off it - it matters not
it is always there - lairking .....( and waiting to ensnare the gormless who seem to queue up TBH )

anyway nice to see its daily appearance on this thread
It's very clear to anyone who understands English, Andy.

For clarity,

Aog asks,
'If they are so pro-Islam, why don't they become Muslims, that is of course if they are not already.'
You reply,
'But supporting something doesn't necessarily mean that you want to join in '

What else can ^that possibly mean?
