To be honest, my Friday evenings are very much the same as any other evening now that I'm retired.

When I was working, Friday and Saturday evenings were very special. Now, unless we are going somewhere, or have visitors, all our evenings are the same.

Usually and like are not the same. Usually pizza and slobbing on the laptop with TV on in the background. Like - out for a meal and drinks in a favourite hot holiday destination, for me Ciutadella in Menorca or somewhere in Antigua.

I'd love to be spending this Friday watching the build-up to the Royal Wedding with a glass or two of vino, but my husband objects to my having a drink tonight because we said we wouldn't have another drink until Saturday. Never mind the fact that he's just declared that he's off golfing on Sunday afternoon.

I'm now spending my Friday unhappy and unimpressed.

Now it's just like any other evening...they are all bliss....x

Just relaxing. Although just put a few plants in garden. Will do some more tomorrow. On phone, a bit of tv ..whatever I feel like doing. A glass of red in hand too. Haven't had a drink all week.

I finish Friday lunchtimes too but by then will have done on average 40 hours a week
