I know the date the lady died (in 2012), I have her name and full address at the time of death. Don't know which undertaker conducted the funeral and when I contacted a couple of undertakers in the town where the lady lived, I was told that they could not divulge information. Can anyone suggest a way to find out where she is buried? Thanks in advance.

How do you know she was buried, not cremated. Can you not use that source to explore further information.
The Find A Grave website has information from around half a million cemeteries worldwide, totalling details of the locations of over 170 million graves, so it's possible that the lady's grave might be listed there. However the site is reliant upon volunteers submitting information so there are bound to be gaps in what's listed there:

As Canary42 makes reference to though, only a quarter of people who die in the UK are interred, with the rest being cremated, so there might well be no grave anyway.
I agree that it is more likely that it was a cremation. But the Ashes will probably still be buried. May not help though. Can you contact the family and say you want to pay your respects?
You could check the local papers for an obituary which often lists the funeral details, and with the local council if the lady had no family and was likely to be reliant on the council providing a burial for her, as to what happens 'generally' if that situation arises, which might give you pointers. Keep trying other funeral directors as well, not all may be so correct when discussing the matter with you. Crematoria usually have a map of where people are interred as well so if you are methodical you can rule a lot out, and burials are easier because they often have a grave stone. Are you local to the area or very far away, there's nothing quite like going and having a look in person tbh. Good luck, I hope that you find her. x
Not sure if I am correct but with the information you have you may be able to get a copy of the death certificate from the nearest registrar, this may give you the name of the next of kin who you could get in touch with. Like I said though not sure if it's possible.

Thank you to everyone for your suggestions - I will try the sources you mention. I'm fairly certain that she was buried rather than cremated because I know that would have been her wish, but of course the family may have decided differently after her death.
