It isn't all about toilets! Look up "Fallon fox " a male wrestler who, with one punch, confused a female wrestler, fractured her eye socket and she needed 7 staples to her head. She hadn't even been told she would be fighting a man. It has gone too far and even actual transsexuals have nothing but contempt for this activist group.

Woofgang i realise that but from statistics it shows half of trans are not happy with their decisions. It's not just a physical thing, it's also very much a mental thing. If you're underage then you're potentially not developed enough mentally to have a proper opinion. It takes to the 20's for people to 'find themselves' and realise wagwarn with the world, so to allow someone at the age of 10 - 15 to transition to me, is barmy.

I wouldn't have said that. it's the thought that such a transition will in future be concluded with a self declaration (and no need for evidence of physical change) that's concerning some. and the biggest risk in this is the situation of women's refuges. there is nothing stopping the 6'8" bearded hairy backed abusive partner of a refuge dweller calling himself female and being admitted to his partner's refuge, there to torture her, or worse. already refuges are being told they cannot even suggest discussion in the matter lest their funding gets pulled.

That has already happened, mushroom. Nine women are suing a refuge for being sexually assaulted by a man that was let in. You will have seen about Karen White and bear in mind, everything is being kept as low key as possible until this is pushed through.

I feel they do, just read this thread. How offended some are over a minority that only exists in their offended minds. as i said, 99.99% if trans men are doing it for themselves, not to prey or take away sports positions from women.

People are always, sadly, going to exist who will abuse any system put before them. I generally feel that crafting policy with the abusive in mind is a bad idea and just ends up penalising those it was meant to help.

Having said that, I'm not sure where I stand on legally allowing self-identification. It certainly seems an odd choice by the Tories to try and rush it through now. Maybe better to allow the effects of the 2004 Gender Recognition Act to settle, or to reduce the period between diagnosis and certificate to one year rather than the current two.

I do not agree with 'self identification' i feel you need a doctors note. I think if one second you feel like a woman and another second you feel like a man, then your personality is fluid, NOT your gender or sex what ever the difference is.

This of course is simply my opinion.

Jim, it is fully open to abuse with no safeguards whatsoever. Of course it will be misused- it already has been. And by definition, the type of men prepared to make women feel unsafe or uncomfortable in their own spaces in order to validate themselves, with disrespect for female boundaries are the very reason we are legally entitled to keep men out of some of our spaces.
Spath, you are confusing sex and gender. That makes no sense.

Nobody wants to answer you, Naomi. To put it bluntly- they are using females as a human shield, at a risk to them, because of male violence. Also for validation. "Hurting a man's ego" is an unforgivable crime.
