After the very public outpouring of grief on 11/11, we now go back to normal, with military veterans denied adequate financial help, and Part of Mrs Mays reading in the Abbey was about feeding the hungry. Really? The perpetrator of the food banks?
What a shower, a nation of hypocrites!

Was Mrs May a perpetrator of the food banks, really now that is scraping the barrel. Didn't she quote from the Bible?

The RBL helps thousands of people through their charity. The fact is we are always going to have poor people, you can't face the fact that we are not now a Christian country, those who go to church for the 11/11/ are commemorating their loved ones and those who have protected us in times of peril.
Veterans don't get the help they should i agree.

but that can be remedied, with the help of the RBL and other military charities they can be helped if they reach out to those who can do it.

I don't think it is a public outpouring of grief, it was a more intense remembrance period due to the Ww1 centenary but surely it is about respect for sacrifice and acknowledgement of a terrible time and justified sadness for the losses in times of conflict.
When you say public outpouring of grief I think of the almost hysterical response to the death of the then Princess of Wales. That was in my mind excessive and disproportionate.

Mrs May isn't the perpetrator of food banks. Food banks sprang up on Tony Blair's watch. If he hadn't led us into an illegal war it's likely there would be fewer military veterans needing help. Who's the hypocrite?

you can help the poor as much as you like, but some won't get on the ladder of life's riches.

The ceremonies yesterday were not "public outpourings of grief". Of the many tens of thousands attending those events only a very, very few had been directly bereaved and could be said to be grieving.

Yesterday was about remembering those who sacrificed their lives so that we could say what we like on forums such as this. There's no hypocrisy in that.

I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again. If government gathered together all the wealth in the land and shared it equally between all citizens, within a very short time some would be very wealthy and others would be destitute, because some would use it wisely and others would fritter it away - and then expect those who had been smarter to cough up and keep them.

I have always thought that if the various religions pooled their resources and gave the proceeds to help those in need then no one need be in dire poverty. How much is the C of E or the Catholic church actually worth? What about all those building that could house the homeless? How about all the other religions?
