I think it depends on the actors, rather than their sex. I have seen a few heterosexual "clinches" which are a little revolting. Two good-looking men though, what's not to like?
I dislike the sound of people kissing in soap operas whatever the sex. I think their microphones must be wired up near their faces so the sound is amplified. You don't get that in movies as they are sounded differently.
It's not for anyone to say someone is wrong to dislike what the programmes contain, Soaps purport to show a version of everyday life, so in that regard they are bound to have same sex couples.
I was a little surprised there wasn't a thread on here about the same sex dancing on Strictly recently, which I thoroughly enjoyed and was glad to see.
I haven't bothered with soaps since Ena died but I would feel uncomfortable to watch those scenes shoehorned in.
It seems they had to show two men kissing in the World on Fire series recently. I was brought up in the day when it was considered unnatural and it makes me squirm to see fellow football supporters slobbering over each other in the pub after a game.
I don't like the way TV drama in general has become more explicit in what they show but I don't see any difference between same gender or not same gender couples. Mamya there are some stunning bloke on bloke tangos on Youtube. As I have said before though, I don't think we will see proper same gender competitive dancing on Strictly because the rules are different. Couples are required to switch the lead during same gender competitions and are marked on how smoothly and well they do it, also they are required to both lift and be lifted in the disciplines that include lifts. This requires an equivalency of size and build. If they stuck to the binary rules then couples would have to decide who was going to be the "honorary man" or "honorary woman"
