Free Speech Deemed Contentious.

Our tradition of free speech is threatened by a growing trend find within it reasons to be offended where no offence was ever intended.
Such offence is manufactured, and validated by a subjective redefinition of meaning.
Surely this trend has its roots in post modernism and relativism, where any word or phrase can be deemed to be offensive when no offence was ever intended.
Will this idea ever be challenged successfully to reinstate the value and protection of free speech as it has always be understood?

Yes, I knew that a feud wasn’t quite the right word as one of those needs two sides. I’ve no idea what he’s rambling on about either. What annoys me about the thought police operating AB; is the number of times they have deleted my posts pointing out (via some news story or other event) that the police are corrupt/dishonest/useless.

Whilst it might annoy the police to have persons point out their shortcomings, and they may even be offended by such free speech – but that is not a reason to delete it.

That doesn’t ‘answer’ anything it’s just a link showing that a radio prog was censored. It tells us nothing of why you thought it relevant.

The point is that Ofcom ( the body that exists to monitor and 'regulate' the telecoms and communication media that is PART funded by the media it regulates) censored 'free speech'.
