//When did the world start to go so mad??//
It isn’t the world that’s going mad – it’s the influential institutions within it. Most people know and accept that a man cannot become a woman simply by saying so. But in places like schools and universities, the participants there have been bullied into accepting that fiction as fact. It’s spread to other State institutions such as the police and the health service and people working for government departments are being “educated” in how they should deal with people who believe they are something they are not. We now have the ludicrous situation where people are being castigated and “cancelled” for “misgendering” somebody (aka using words appropriate to the person they are addressing or referring to). Then there’s the question of language. Oxfam has issued a 92 page document which list words and phrases to avoid and their acceptable replacements(discussed in another thread). It begins by apologising for the English language: “ We further recognize that this guide has its origin in English, the language of a colonizing nation. We acknowledge the Anglo-supremacy of the sector as part of its coloniality.”
Let’s be very clear. This is not a passing fad of a lunatic fringe who will turn their attention to something else if enough people ignore them. It is a concerted and well organised attempt at a cultural coup. Every school, campus, boardroom, charity HQ (sorry, that term is on Oxfam’s proscribed list, but I can’t think of anything else) and government department is now infested with people determined to impose their opinions and ideology on everybody else. Entire industries have developed to provide “education” in its various facets and non-compliance is not an option. If you are not “on message” you will not be employed within these institutions and heretics will be ruthlessly “cancelled.”
Sounds far fetched? Well imagine a few years back before this lunacy grabbed hold, being told that you should not use the term “expectant mother” and that women feeding their babies should be said to be “chest feeding”. Let’s say you were advised not to use the terms “labour force”, “able-bodied”, “poor women”, “prostitutes”, Imagine being told to be careful when using the words “mother” or “father”, You’d probably call that fanciful nonsense. Well that fanciful nonsense has arrived – big time.
//…we've ruined the world and it's now time for the young to undo our wrongs.//
But they will have to be quick and do it whist they know everything because eventually, and incredible as it may seem to some of them, they will eventually get old and realise how ignorant they are.
