Why are the british so rascist?

Following on from some previous posts about foreigners with rucksacks and jews and muslims im wondering why are the british so rascist?
Britain was behind slavery,persecutionj of the jews,crusading against the muslims in the 13th century,we ruled india and pakistan and australia and treated the indigenous population like second class citizens.
Why are the british like this?
Afterall look around yopu and ask is this such a great place that we can judge others?A country of workshy chavs who would rather drink and do drugs than an honest days work.I think we are a country in decline still living on the memories of the british empire.

judging someone by their skin colour/religion/country of origin IS ignorant and stupid! I am not ignorant to say that racism is ignorance. i have an open mind and welcome anyone, if someone is a good person (different opinions from me or not), then i welcome them. as for the other terms taffy for example - if it doesnt offend welsh people then its not offensive, if it does then it shouldnt be used, I dont know any welsh people, so i couldnt say.

I am very tolerant, I grew up in Central London and have no problem with any Race, I am just saying, even on here certain words are ok, which could be said to be Rascist are ok, according to A/B and others aren't double standards, that is wrong, star them all out, or none of them

How can honourably speak out for a faith that OPENLY allows the death of gay, the beheading of adulterous women, the stoning of women who have sex outside of marriage. A religion so foul, if you speak ill of it, you die!!

How odd that a small Danish media group print a few cartoons of Allah and his boyfriend Mohammed, and riots break out on the other side of the world. Yet when Christianity is mocked, the BBC may receive a few complaints.

How can you defend such an insecure faith? Surely you champion freedom of expression, be that in art, politics or culture?

Britain is multi-cultural, that is ok, as long as we do not lose our own identity, do you know that within the m25 corridor, over 250 languages are spoken, no i can't list them, but it is fact, and if people want to come and live here that is fine, as long as they conform and accept our laws and values

increasingly I am hearing about the peaceful muslims and then what happens, we find a quiet loving family man with an amazing talent and brilliant career turned into a suicide bomber willing to kill other peace loving families enjoying the4 rewards of their year's hard graft, that sets off alarm bells in my head.

Thinking about it Ray, p'raps you're right, that post should have remained on here - it would have shown exactly what had been posted. Ne'er mind the ones who did participate will remember.

Having said that, like the others, I have to ask - Ed, why is the word p-a-k-i asterisked out, when other words of similar ilk have remained, 'specially in the joke section?

i think if people come to this country to live, they should speak english or be learning it, but i also believe that if british people go to another country, they should speak the local language. i think we should keep out countrys sense of identity, but also with a mix from the thousands of peoples cultures that live here.
