Just wondering
What is your view on Australia? What do you think of when you think Australia?
Answers regarding 1950's onwards would be great!

Well I have never been to Australia so only would agree with others.
Australians especially cricketers however are hypocrites and government has double standards. They play in India when there are bomb blasts; they are happy to play in Sri Lanka the place where suicide bombing was most probably invented; they carried on playing in Oval when there were bomb blasts about couple of miles away in July 2005. But they do not want to go to Pakistan although,
1. Trouble in Pakistan is at least 700 miles from where they were supposed to play.
2. Pakistan always gave all the teams presidential security.
3. It was even declared safe for the cricket by the ICC
4. There has never been a single attack in Pakistan on any sporting event let alone cricket which even terrorists watch there
5. I challenge any outsider to get into the hotel where cricket teams stay in Pakistan.
However in Australia this is the level of security other teams get,

end of rant. Thanks

In the end first of all there are no Talibans in Pakistani cities and then as usual Pakistani govt is to blame who sometime infest Pakistan with heroin and sometimes with terrorists for being a front line state only to fight a war for the countries who would not even back them for a cricket tournament. Yes so you are right perhaps Pakistan should say to the Taliban that Ok do whatever you want to do in Afghanistan and bomb blasts in Pakistan will stop within hours.

but Newsdesk, Brits eat sheep, which certainly should be their national emblem... anyway, keyplus, triggerhippy is right, no cricket match has been attacked (tight security) but NZ cricketers have fled the country after a suicide bomb that took place near their hotel, so I can't blame the Aussies for having severe doubts.

Yes, their culture is rather macho (cricket being a good example again) but as individuals they're generally nice people. I don't know about keeping trash out of the country - any amount of Brits and South Africans seem to get in - but they soon find if you don't work you don't eat, which is why some Brits go home again. Note their Olympic chief's comments on GB's swimming successes: pretty good for a country with no swimming pools and no soap.
erm, to answer the question: Uluru, Great Barrier Reef, Sydney Opera House, kangaroos loose in the top paddock.
