Both Jews and Muslims lop bits off their young male children, not for medical reasons, but because their religions demand it, so a hypothetical question. If a case were brought before the European Court of Human Rights claiming that this practice is in violation of a human being's right to decide what happens to his body, what do you think the outcome would be?

Sith, I didn't say the Koran has been changed, but you implied that it contains mistakes because the bible has been changed - which it hasn't - so any Muslim who claims that is wrong. The Koran contains mistakes because the man who wrote it used information that was already in existence - much of it inaccurate.
no, i said as muslims believe the bible and torah has been changed, thats why there is the quran, to correct those mistakes, and it can never be changed. i did not claim the quran has mistakes. ask any muslim and they will agree with me.

and compared to the bible the quran is very accurate, and as you have stated, which is wrong, muhammed didnt write it for no reason, it was a message from god, so how is it wrong?
Question Author
Sith, //muslims believe the bible and torah has been changed//

If you mean Muslims believe the Koran supercedes the bible, it doesn't. The biblical prophets were not Muslim - they were Jews. Of course Muslims will agree with you, but the fact is when Mohammed wrote the Koran he plagiarised the works of earlier civilisations - including the bible. Contrary to popular belief, he was a clever man - but not clever enough.

//the quran is very accurate//

Sith, if you know little about science, how can you claim your book is accurate? What are you comparing it to? Do you really believe stars were made as missiles against demons? Surely not! Look at the errors for yourself. They're easy to find on Google.
again naomi...i did not say that stars were made as missiles or whatever. why would i want to google it?
Question Author
Sith, you didn't say it - but the Koran does. Just highlighting one of its inaccuracies.
and how did you know the quran says it, and also, like many old texts, dont take it on its literal meaning, it probably symbolises something.
Question Author
I know because I've read it. I have two copies.

And why not take it on it's literal meaning? Why separate a bit that's obviously nonsense? You take everything else on it's literal meaning don't you? It's the infallible word of Allah, for goodness sake, and it can't be changed, so that must be what Allah said.
what else do we take on its literal meaning?
Question Author
Sith, Islam takes all of it on its literal meaning - that literal meaning tweaked mercilessly by Muslim 'scholars'. It cannot be changed so they attempt to make it fit whatever they want it to fit - and not always with the greatest success. You need to do a bit of research, but I doubt you will because that would reveal the truth to you - and that would never do!
i studied islam for about 5 years before converting. so i dont think i need to study and if i were gonna change my mind, i would not have joined it.
Question Author
What a pity you didn't study the science Islam teaches too. You might have spotted the enormous chink in the armour. Too late now it seems. :o(
"i studied islam for about 5 years before converting."

Are you sure, because you really dont know much of what you are talking about, maybe you need to go back for another 5 years.
believe me ratter, i know what i am talking about, but than again, as you have said and critizised many times, you say that i need to explain my views and give more, but you critisize them, than when i do do this you tell me to stop. you know what ratter? you really need to stop confusing people and just debate like a normal person. you say religion has confused me. than youve gotta look at yourself. naomi comes with good answers that actually makes me think and wonder, which i look into and learn from, you have done nothing but critisize.
I cant be bothered to debate with a total fool, I give you just what you deserve.
so now witty remarks? lol. to me youre a fool.
Question Author
Come on chaps, don't argue. :o)

Sith, let me give you a few of examples of Koranic errors - other than stars being created as missiles against demons.

The Koran says that the sun orbits the earth. It doesn't.

The Koran says that the moon produces its own light. It doesn't.

The Koran says babies are formed from a clot of blood. They're not.

If the Koran is the word of Allah, then all I can say is Allah wasn't much of a scientist!
i thought you would have known that he was not a scientist, he was a god.
lol, not exactly a well informed god was he :)
oh, so now you can speak. it seems naomi saved you from the emmbarasment of not being able to say anything :)
Question Author
Sith, talk sense! Allah created EVERYTHING, and that must include every scientific fact that exists in the universe. Everything was his idea in the first place, so how come he got it so wrong when he wrote his book?
