THE new atheists envision a world with no religion—no suicide bombers, no religious wars, and no televangelists fleecing their flocks. Does that vision appeal to you?

Before answering, ask yourself this, ‘Is there any evidence that universal atheism would lead to a better world?’

i put this before, but you did not read it...you said this and it says clearly that we would like to see the continuance of terrorism...and youre now saying you never said that?

Naomi: That is the difference between us. I have faith that there will be an end to evil once and for all. Once God has removed the wickedness from this earth, Satan the devil and his demons will be completely destroyed forever, there will be no one to cause evil. As to those who are physically & mentally disadvantaged they will be restored to perfection just as will every other human who wil live on earth. Yes - on earth. Not Heaven. Heaven is reserved for God, his Son and angels. Heaven was not meant for mankind, earth was mankinds home. Again, if you know your Bible as you say, then you will know that - Psalm 37 v 9 - 11 and 29.
Truthabounds, do for goodness sake stop with the biblical references.
We have a Muslim here on AB who at times, in an effort to impress us, bombards us with verses from the Koran because he believes that book contains the word of God, and therefore the indisputable truth. Sound familiar? Sadly for him many of us here do not agree with him. Now if I were to suggest that his Koranic verses would mean as little to you as your Biblical verses mean to us, would that make it any clearer? None of it - none - means anything whatsoever to those of us who have studied both books and concluded that they are in error. These contributions, however sincerely made, offer nothing new and therefore they serve no purpose.
If you think you have a case to argue, do it in your own words - not in someone else's because we've seen and heard all that before.
Elderman/Goodlife, please take note.

No Naomi, it won't work. I don't know about Goodlife. He/she can do say what they please, just as you and all the others do. I know there are muslims on this site and I respect their beliefs just as I respect everyone else. Their Holy Book has good points and if every muslim followed them then there would probably not be the extremists that we have in the world. I don't want to convert you or any other person. As I have stated many times in previous posts, you cannot convert anyone, it has to be their own choice. This site is for freedom of speech, and views. If you don't like what I say, you don't have to read or answer.
Truthabounds<<<<< what a name for somebody that cannot see the truth when it is clearly staring him in the face!!
So do you or your religious leader think its a great idea to come on to a question and answer site and irritate the hell out of people, I think you are successfully putting an even larger divide between religion and Atheism, im not sure that was your intention or are you just a wind up?
You are doing absolutely nothing for your cause but to cause friction and ill feeling.

Ratter: I don't have a religious leader. The one who directs me is Jesus Christ himself. I don't look to any man, priest, rabbi, pope, vicar etc. If
you are irrated by my posts why bother reading them? I am not forcing you.
Just as I am not forced to read yours. Who am I causing friction with? You.
If there is ill feeling then I am sorry, obviously I must be hitting a button somewhere otherwise it would have no effect.
